To start the Christmas season off, we went with the Jarrards to see the US Air Force Band in the beautiful DAR Convention Hall. DAR stands for Daughters of the American Revolution. It is huge, built in 1829, a National Historic Landmark, and gorgeous. I could feel the history of women in this country fighting for the rights of women, children, and the poor. The concert was amazing with performances by the concert orchestra, jazz band, singers, dancers, and Santa.
